WALKER, LA (NBC33) — Officials confirm that a pregnant woman was stabbed and her fetus was killed a few hours ago.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office confirms that the incident happened at around 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23. We’re told the woman was stabbed around the 3000 block of Milton Road in Walker.

A suspect has been taken into custody. However, his name has not yet been released.

The victim is being treated at a local hospital.
