A woman has been arrested on attempted murder charges after an ongoing feud led to gunfire in Lafayette.

On June 22 at around 7:00 p.m., police went to the 100 block of Mabel Street regarding a shooting.

According to investigators, the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between individuals that live in the 100 block of Mabel Street and the 100 block of Dolese Street.

The two female victims from Mabel Street allegedly walked over to Dolese Street, trying to get a female resident to fight them in the street.

The mother of the female on Dolese Street, Diane McZeal, 50, allegedly exited the home with a handgun and began firing.

The two victims, 23 and 24 years of age, were shot in the arm. They were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

McZeal was charged with two counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder. The investigation remains ongoing.
