Expansion coming soon to Lafayette General Medical Center

Lafayette General Medical Center gave a sneak peek of their 52.5 million dollar expansion project today.

Lafayette General's Expansion project focuses on making this hospital the center of Lafayette. Not only is it revamping the emergency department and operating room platform it also includes a new six story parking garage which will create 343 parking spaces for all patients and guests.

The expansion of the emergency department will increase bed capacity from 31 beds to 45 and create two new trauma rooms. These new expansions will take Lafayette General to the next level in making sure that our community is taken care of.
Also mentioned in the presentation were the certain parts of construction to create a more healing environment.

The expansion will also include an express trauma elevator which is crucial in improving the emergency medical service of the hospital because every critical second helps save the lives of the patients, which is the ultimate goal of Lafayette General.
