Lafayette, La. (KADN) — Just a couple of weeks ago UL senior pitcher Cody Boutte was one of the three starting pitchers on the Ragin' Cajun champions team that lost out on a world series trip by one game. Now, many of his teammates have been drafted by the major league teams and are scaterred around the country playing summer ball.
But Cody Boutte and fellow senior Matt Plitt are still on the UL baseball field coaching young kids at baseball summer camp, and his campers are super happy about him being there to help them become better ball players. Cody is one of the favorite's of the kids as you can tell when we tried to interview him.
Boutte had an outstanding final senior season with the Ragin Cajuns, winning nine games and losing only one. He is enjoying coaching the kids at the UL summer camp but is working on signing with a professional team soon. Cody Boutte hopes to continue his baseball career and every boy's dream of making it to the major leagues.
