Four arrested on multiple charges in St. Mary drug sting

Four Bayou Vista residents have been arrested on multiple drug charges as the result of a drug sting.

On September 18 at around 6:30am, St. Mary Parish authorities executed search warrants simultaneously at three residences in the Bayou Vista area. 

The warrants were secured as a result of an ongoing investigation that began approximately 6 months ago. During the investigation, it was learned that Shawn Francois, Lloyd Humphrey, Renata Harris, and Donte’ Harris were responsible for the sale of illegal narcotics.

During the search of their residences, narcotics detectives located marijuana with a street value of approximately $18,000, cocaine with a street value of approximately $4,500 dollars, a stolen firearm, and items of drug paraphernalia. Detectives seized $8,750 in US Currency as well as two vehicles pending forfeiture.

All were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Francois was charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute,  Possession of Schedule II (liquid codeine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Violation of CDS Law (Drug Free Zone), Possession of a CDS in the Presence of a Minor and Transactions Involving Drug Proceeds.

Humphrey was charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Transaction Involving Drug Proceeds.

Renata Harris was charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute, Possession of a CDS in the Presence of a Minor, Violation of CDS Law (Drug Free Zone), Transactions Involving Drug Proceeds and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Donte’ J. Harris was charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a CDS in the Presence of a Minor, Violation of CDS Law (Drug Free Zone), Possession of a Legend Drug (Fioricet) Without a Prescription, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a CDS, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
