ORIGINAL STORY:  A natural gas pipline has blown out underground near Intracoastal City, LA.  Officials with the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office tell NBC33 they're in the process of evacuating a half-mile radius near the site.

This is a pretty rural area, without many residents. LA State Police tell us one family has been evacuated and there are no injuries. Right now HazMat crews are working to shut down the pipeline. We're also told there's a road closure at the intersection of HWY 82 and LA 333.

Right now, an NBC33 News Crew is on the way to Vermilion Parish, and we will bring you the newest developments as we uncover them.
