
LAFAYETTE, LA (KADN) — A slow moving storm system passing through south Louisiana has created the potential for flash flooding. The threat has even prompted the closure of some area schools.
The worst of the storm is expected to push through on Wednesday, Jan. 9 with thunderstorms continuing through Thursday. A possible 3"-6" of rain is expected.
The St. Mary, St. Martin Parish, and St. Bernard Parish schools have canceled classes for Wednesday. So far no other closures have been reported.
