Hotel bandit responsible for French Quarter thefts wanted by police

New Orleans Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with four hotel thefts. The incidents occurred on June 25, 2012 and July 26, 2012.

In all four incidents, the victims left their hotel rooms and upon returning later the same day, several pieces of property, including laptops and an iPad, were discovered missing from the rooms.

The suspect has been observed wearing sunglasses at times, going into different hotels and searching for unlocked rooms.

Detectives obtained a photo of the suspect through video surveillance. The suspect appears to be an African-American male wearing a green shirt with white writing on front.
