(CNN) — Secretary of State John Kerry's wife was set to leave a Boston hospital on Thursday after doctors upgraded her condition from fair to good and confirmed she had suffered a seizure.
Teresa Heinz Kerry, 74, took ill on Nantucket in Massachusetts over the weekend and underwent tests at Boston's Massachusetts General Hospital this week.
Glen Johnson, a spokesman for Kerry, said in a statement that many possibilities for the cause of the seizure have "thankfully" been ruled out. But so far, doctors have not pinpointed why it occurred.
Heinz Kerry will move to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston to continue her recovery.
Kerry will split his time between Boston and Washington and resume his official travel schedule soon, Johnson said. Kerry has been traveling heavily since taking office earlier this year.
Kerry grew emotional Wednesday while talking about his wife's condition and thanking the public for its support.
