Former LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson is back in jail tonight after a District Judge sent him to parish prison for violating the conditions of his bond. Jefferson was in court today because of the simple battery charge he is facing after his alleged involvement in a fight at Shady's Bar back in August. His latest arrest violates the terms of his bond on the simple battery charge.
Now, because of his arrest on simple posession of marijuana, he'll have to undergo a substance abuse evaluation before he can even leave prison and make an appearance in district court. Neither the prosecution nor the defense was surprised by today's ruling.
Jordan Jefferson's next scheduled court date is December 12th, but he could be back in court as early as this week once he has undergone that substance abuse evaluation.
