'Kissing bandit' arrested by Eunice Police officers
EUNICE, LA (NBC33) — Eunice Police say, they've arrested a Houston man who grabbed, then forced kisses on a Eunice, LA Wal-Mart employee.
Randy J. Butcher, 40, was allegedly still in the Wal-Mart when Eunice Police arrived.
The female employee says Butcher walked up to her, and flirted with her relentlessly. She claims Butcher wouldn't leave her alone until she gave him her phone number. The victim says she gave Butcher a fake number in the hopes he would leave her alone. But, she says Butcher grabbed her and then started kissing her.
When the employee finally got away, she notified a store manager who called police.
Then, get this, a second victim came forward. She says she was shopping in the Wal-Mart when Butcher walked up to her, started flirting with her, then asked for her number. As Butcher was allegedly talking to the woman, her boyfriend walked up and confronted Butcher.
Eunice Police say, when they arrived at the Wal-Mart, Butcher was trying to leave. Wal-Mart employees helped police wrangle Butcher, and he's now in the Eunice City Jail facing Simple Assault, Simple Battery, and False Imprisonment charges.
Eunice Police tell NBC33 Butcher is a cross-country truck driver and his big rig is still parked at the Eunice Wal-Mart. They also say, he's unable to pay his $4,304.00 bond. Police say, they'll hold Butcher in jail until he's able to come up with the cash.
Investigators say Butcher's employer was able to track down the big rig truck in the Wal-Mart lot by using GPS. Right now, they're making arrangements to have someone pick up the truck from the Eunice Wal-Mart parking lot. No word on whether Butcher will keep his job.
