Lafayette Animal Control celebrates Christmas

Special adoptions

The people in Acadiana are not the only ones getting into the Christmas spirit this year.  Lafayette Animal Control Center is celebrating this Christmas season with special adoptions of their dogs and cats.

"We have what we call Adoption Tails.  Our volunteers and my staff got together and we do adoptions on daily basis but today is a very special day.  Santa Clause is coming, and for all the little girls and boys and whoever adopts an animal today is going to have their picture taken with Santa," says Virginia Lee, Animal Control Supervisor Division Manager.

Volunteers and staff at Lafayette Animal Control Center would like to stress how important it is to adopt a pet from a shelter rather than buy one.  Every animal up for adoption at the shelter is up-to-date on all shots including rabies, and has been treated for fleas.  If you would like more information on adopting a pet from the Lafayette shelter simply go to Lafayette Animal Control Center's website.
