Lafayette (KADN) — Scott Hawthorne, 28, of Lafayette, has been charged with six counts of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles.
Lafayette Sheriff’s deputies arrested Hawthorne at his home on Common Pointe Drive on Tuesday, April 2, after a 10 day investigation.
Investigators discovered that Hawthorne repeatedly exposed himself to several children who were walking to a bus stop in the neighborhood, which is located between Scott and Carencro.
The victims reported the incident to school officials, who then contacted police on March 24, 2014.
Detectives confirmed Hawthorne’s identity and verified that he had been doing this to children since November 2013.
The allegations include instances where Hawthorne stood naked in his doorway, stimulating himself while the children walked passed.
The victims said Hawthorne called out to them to get their attention so they would look.
Hawthorne is being held in jail on a $150,000.00 bond.
