Loads of Hope brings relief to flooded residents in LaPlace

Tide’s Loads of Hope mobile washing unit set up shop today, Tuesday, Sept. 4, in LaPlace. This area was hit hard by flooding caused by Hurricane Isaac. Residents got their first chance today to begin picking up the pieces.

Loads of Hope is a program implemented after Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans. Since then it has continued to go to disaster stricken areas. During Hurricane Gustav, Loads of Hope came to Baton Rouge while the city recovered.

NBC33’s Alex Deiro was there today and talked with residents still dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac. We’ll have their story on NBC33 News at 5:00, 6:30 and 10:00 p.m.
