Loads of Hope brings relief to flooded residents in LaPlace
LAPLACE, LA (NBC33) — Tide’s Loads of Hope mobile washing unit set up shop today, Tuesday, Sept. 4, in LaPlace. This area was hit hard by flooding caused by Hurricane Isaac. Residents got their first chance today to begin picking up the pieces.
Loads of Hope is a program implemented after Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans. Since then it has continued to go to disaster stricken areas. During Hurricane Gustav, Loads of Hope came to Baton Rouge while the city recovered.
