Sixteen year veteran at the Regional Medical Center of Acadiana
Lafayette, LA (KADN) — John Hendrick, a sixteen year veteran certified physician assistant with Louisiana Heart, Lung & Vascular at the Regional Medical Center of Acadiana recently received a certificate of added qualification in Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He talks about the key to his success thus far.
"Diligence, hard work with a lot of really good surgeons and great staff in the hospitals. Cardiovascular surgery probably more than most fields of medicine is a true team effort and it really takes everyone working together and doing a good job to get good results and I think we've been fortunate to have that here," says John Hendrick, Certified Physician Assistant at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.
Hendrick is one of many that make Acadiana a safer, healthier place to be. This national certification indicates that he exhibits a profeciency in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery above what is required for certification as a P.A. He is qualified to do procedures in a hospital other certified physician assistants are not granted permission to perform.
