Louisiana faces possible rise in obesity

According to the government, more than a third of adults in Louisiana are obese and a new study says that by the year 2030, that number could rise as high as 62%.

Some experts think it is because of our much beloved Louisiana cuisine with lots of fried, fatty foods and obesity is a serious public health problem. The Trust For America's Health says if we got 5% healthier, we could save almost 10 billions dollars.

Experts say the best way to get kids to think healthy, is for parents to set a good example from the start.

Eating healthy might even be the less expensive choice for your family but the experts agree that getting Louisiana to improve their health is a daunting proposition.
