Louisiana's Commissioner of Conservation says he is going to fine Texas Brine five thousand dollars a day
New information tonight out of Assumption Parish.
Louisiana's Commissioner Of Conservation says he's going to fine Texas Brine five thousand dollars a day.
That is the company believed to be responsible for the sink hole near Bayou Corne.
Commissioner of Conservation James Walsh ordered Texas Brine to pay people who live in the evacuation area for the inconvenience.
Now they are getting 875 dollars a week but the Louisiana Commissioner Of Conservation wants them to get paid retro actively to the start of the evacuation.
Texas Brine officials say they will continue to try to clarify and resolve any outstanding issues.
