July 25, 2014 — With school fast approaching the Lafayette Parish School System has set up a centralized registration for student enrollment at Lerosen Elementary.
As many parents may know the process of getting a child enrolled involves multiple tasks from, immunization records, utility bills for address verification, and other documents that simply take time out of your day to either find or acquire. Centralized Registration is available to help alleviate the hustle and bustle of the first day of school registration may cause.
This will provide parents a chance to enroll more than one student at a time as well as having school officials on hand to help answer any questions and provide assistance through out the process.
"We are doing centralized registration here at Lerosen Elementary on the corner of Pinhook and Evangeline Thruway. We have schools of choice, special education, immunization records, and we have Lafayette Utility Services here printing utility bills." said Leon Winters, LPSS Community Liason.
"We will be here again August 1st to August 4th from 11-7. We have all of the services here so that they can register as a one stop shop versus going to many places to register their student. We have child welfare in attendance to give you directions and the process of the registration."
Students do not need to be present for registration which will take place again on August 1 and August 4 from 11am-7pm. If you would like to take advantage of Centralized registration, you can can call 337-521-7090 for more assistance on times and information.
