
OPELOUSAS, LA (FOX44) — A 19-year-old was arrested for allegedly robbing a convenience store at gunpoint.
The Opelousas Police Department reports that the incident occurred on Monday, Jan. 7 during the late evening. We’re told the Tiger Trax convenience store on E. Landry Street was robbed and the victim provided a description of the suspect.
Officers located Jacob Robins a few blocks from the crime scene. They say he matched the description provided. A search of his person recovered a handgun and cash money believed to have been taken from the store.
Robins was arrested and booked into the Opelousas Jail for First-Degree Robbery. He is currently being held at this time without a bond.
