Man arrested for terrorizing after bomb threat at Wal Greens in Crowley

A man is locked up in the Acadia Parish Jail for allegedly making bomb threats.

The Crowley Police Department reports that it was contacted on Sunday, April 21 to respond to a complaint at a local Wal Greens location. Officers learned that the suspect had been asked to leave due to a previous issue at the store. It was at this point that he made comments to the store manager regarding “finding the bomb before it explodes.”

The suspect had left the store prior to the officer’s arrival.

"Our officers went through the building and confirmed there was no devise inside,” KP Gibson, Chief of the Crowley Police Department, said. “We take these threats serious and even though majority are false, we choose not to place our businesses or citizens in harms way."

The suspect was identified as Sy Suire, 32, of Estherwood. He was located with the assistance of the Estherwood Police and was arrested for one count of Terrorizing.
