A Schriever man was arrested for prior warrants after going to a hospital and causing a disturbance.

At around 4:30 a.m. this morning, Thibodaux Police were called to the Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, where an employee claimed that Paul Hinton checked himself into the hospital for abdominal pain.

After receiving treatment and being discharged, Hinton refused to leave.

He then defecated all over the lobby bathroom, and wanted to check himself back in claiming “fecal incontinence.”

Police showed up, and discovered Paul’s warrants from Terrebonne Parish. Paul was placed under arrest, and never mentioned “fecal incontinence” to Police.

Hinton, 58, was charged with three counts of Failure to Appear for Court on Theft and Traffic Offenses in Terrebonne.

Paul was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center where he is being held, cautiously, in lieu of bonds.
