Multiple arrests made in Geismar homicide
GEISMAR, LA — Three suspects were arrested in the homicide of Bernard Solomon, 20, that took place on Wednesday night at the intersection of Ellem Road and Stevenson Road in Geismar, according to Major Kevin Hanna.
Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Detectives continued their investigation after Solomon was found lying in the intersection with multiple gunshot wounds where he was later pronounced at a local hospital.
Detectives learned that Jyrah Bringier, Shedrick Norra, Marcus Sterling, Richard Gauthier, Jr., and Solomon traveled from Donaldsonville to the Eastbank of Ascension Parish in a silver Nissan Altima and went to the intersection of Ellem Road and Stevenson Road to purchase prescription cough medicine containing codeine, known on the streets as “lean.”
