A State Police investigation has led to the arrest of a New Iberia man in a manufacturing and distribution of child pornography case.

On Monday, Sept. 16, State Police Detectives were provided with information which indicated that Austin Gulledge, 32, of New Iberia was in possession of child pornography. With the information Detectives received, a search warrant was obtained for Gulledge’s home.

With the assistance of the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office and the FBI, Detectives served the warrant yesterday afternoon at Gulledge’s residence in the 3200 Block of Ronald Circle in New Iberia. Detectives were able to seize various digital media storage devices which contained over 200 images depicting child pornography, as well as over 20 videos depicting child sexual acts. They were also able to determine that Gulledge was producing and distributing child pornography.

After the search was complete, he was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Iberia Parish Jail for possession of child pornography, manufacturing child pornography and distribution of child pornography. This case remains under investigation.

This case was a part of “Operation Child Watch.” The mission of “Operation Child Watch” is to rescue children from the potential abuse of child predators. If you would like information about presentations concerning child predators you can call State Police at (337) 262-5880.
