The St. Landry Crime Stoppers needs your help in gathering any information you might have regarding recent day time break-ins in the Opelousas/Sunset area.

Many burglaries that occurred within the past ten days have St. Landry Sheriff’s Deputies warning citizens to take extra precaution when they leave their residences.

St. Landry Crime Stoppers Coordinator Captain Megan Vizena said, “The most popular item being taken is jewelry. Consider installing deadbolts, using a wooden stick on sliding door tracks, installing an alarm system and getting to know your neighbors.”

Offcials are requesting for anyone to call in with information of suspicious persons or vehicles that have been seen in this area that could have been responsible for these daytime burglaries.

If you have any information about this crime, please call St. Landry Crime Stoppers at 337-948-8477.
