Cajundome up for grabs--benefiting Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Acadiana
Lafayette, LA (KADN) — The Cajundome will auction off the name of it's facility on EBAY for Mardi Gras weekend. From February 8th to the 12th the Cajundome will sport a new name. The money raised will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Acadiana.
"We hope that this year people, even though I know times are tough, give twenty cents, fifty cents, a dollar. It won't take anything to make this year a very successful year for this organization, and to help fight this terrible disease that touches so many of us," says Gilbert Decourt, Food and Beverage Manager at Cajundome.
As a survivor himself, Gilbert stresses the importance of this fundraiser and is depending on the generosity of the community to give to the cause. The bidding is open to any individual, group, or business and the highest bidder will name the arena. Bidding is currently open and will not close until Tuesday, February 5th.
