Police arrest Eunice woman for DWI on Mardi Gras
SCOTT, LA (KADN) — A Eunice woman was arrested for DWI.
The Scott Police Department said they arrested 22-year-old Lindsey Fusiler, on March 4, for driving while intoxicated.
Police say Fusiler crashed her car into a ditch, around 7:30 p.m., in the 1300 Block of St. Mary Street. Two unknown passengers riding with Fusiler, left before police arrived.
The responding officer detected alcohol on her breath, and Fusiler admitted to drinking six beers and one jell-o shot at the Eunice Mardi Gras festivities. A Standard Field Sobriety Test indicated Fusiler had been driving drunk.
Fusiler was taken to the Lafayette Sheriff’s Office and was given a breathalyzer test. It was determined that she had a blood alcohol level of .131%.
Fusiler was transported to University Hospital for medical clearance, and was then booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on charges of DWI and a traffic violation of improper turn.
