SHREVEPORT, LA — Police detectives have released still images of three suspects wanted in connection with a shooting that left one man dead.
At approximately 10:07 p.m. on September 12, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 4000 block of Virginia Avenue. Upon arrival, officers were contacted by a witness who advised them that two male suspects had come to the home attempting to force their way inside. It was learned that after the suspects were unable to gain entry into the home, one or both of the suspects began to fire shots through the residences front door striking a male victim inside.
As shots were fired, the male victim, identified as 32 year old Jason Williams of the 4000 block of Virginia Avenue in Shreveport, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. The unidentified suspects fled the scene of the shooting on foot. Williams was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department, where he was pronounced deceased.
Violent Crimes Detectives have since recovered surveillance footage from the scene that shows three male subjects at the home of Williams just moments before the fatal shooting. Authorities are seeking the assistance of the public in helping establish the identity of the men seen in the photos.
