Police seek armed gunman who robbed store with shirt pulled over his head

An armed man disguised with a T-shirt pulled over his head robbed a convenience store this weekend, and police need your help finding the person responsible.

The Lafayette Police Department reports that the incident occurred shortly before 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4. We’re told the suspect entered the store located in the 2900 block of Verot School Road with his shirt pulled over his head. He pulled out a gun and demanded money from the store’s clerk.

The suspect ran from the scene before police could get there. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. The only description that could be provided is that the suspect is a black male.

Officials say the clerk was not injured.
