School starts for Lafayette public schools tomorrow, but the private schools around Acadiana have already finished their second day.  Teurlings Catholic High has the largest freshman class they have ever seen with 208 students, kicking off the year in the right spirit.

"Our numbers are up, the enthusiasm that we see from our children the last two days is up.  While nobody wants to say they like school I really believe they enjoy the structure that it puts back in their life.  After a couple months of having fun it's time to get back into some business," says Michael Boyer, Principal at Teurlings Catholic.

"I'm ready to get into the routine and just get everything going," says Madison Proctor, junior at Teurlings Catholic.

"I'm kind of glad and happy, but not so much at the same time," says Kristen Hamilton, junior at Teurlings Catholic.

"You get to see all your new friends and all your old friends again," says Kynnedie Maloz, junior at Teurlings Catholic.

Monday was the first day for freshman and sophomores at Teurlings, and today was the first day for all upper classmen to start the school year.
