LAFAYETTE, LA — Chevron and Festival International de Louisiane would like to invite you to run, walk, skip or jump to the finish line at the Courir du Festival 5K Run! Bring your kids, co-workers and friends of all ages to downtown Lafayette on Festival Saturday! Meet us at Scène Chevron Héritage (on Jefferson Street, across from Chase Towers) on Saturday, April 27th at 8:00am for the annual Festival 5K Run.
As part of the largest Francophone festival in North America, the race features music from international Festival artists Bodh’akten as well as dancing, food, drinks, art and more! The 5K course starts and finishes in downtown Lafayette, LA, the heart of Cajun Country. We will be serving sumptuous Cajun and Creole delights, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and more!
Go to www.festivalinternational.com/race to register online. The registration form is so easy! All you have to do is enter your age on race day and your T-shirt size. Race participants who register by April 19 will be able to pick up their race day packet which includes a keepsake Festival Courir du Festival 5k shirt, discounts from selected merchants, 5k race sponsors and more. There are a limited amount of official Courir du Festival 5k t-shirts available, so, sign-up early!
Race-Day registration will be held from 7-8:00am at Scène Chevron, and participants are encouraged to get there early to stretch, visit and enjoy the beginning of a great Festival day!
