Resident shot by two home invaders, police seek suspects

A Lafayette man is recovering in a hospital this morning after he was shot when two robbers broke into his home.

The Lafayette Police Department reports that the incident occurred at roughly 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17. We’re told two black males wearing masks entered a home located on the 1100 block of Dulles Driver.

A 29-year-old male occupant of the home said he walked into his hallway when one of the suspects fired a shot. The victim was struck in the shoulder. We’re told he’s expected to survive.

Officials say the suspects stole electronics and a cell phone from the home before fleeing the scene.
