Robber holds up popular New Orleans po boy shop, police seek suspect

 Police are trying to find the man who walked in to a popular Po boy shop in New Orleans and robbed the place with a semiautomatic weapon.

The New Orleans Police Department reports that the incident occurred on Friday, Aug. 24 shortly before 1:00 a.m. at “Gene’s Po boy,” located on Elysian Fields. We’re told the suspect pulled out the semiautomatic gun and demanded money.

The suspect attempted to conceal his identity by pulling the top portion of his shirt up over his head.

The suspect got away with roughly $375. He fled on foot. He is described as a black male, 5’10”, 180 lbs, and roughly 40 years of age.
