Tuesday, October 9, 2012 - 5:58pm

Several Russian villages were evacuated in Russia today after a giant explosion at a weapons disposal site.
4,000 tons of ammunition exploded as it was being unloaded. The blast sent a huge plume of smoke into the air.
Tanks, armored vehicles and ambulances were all seen near the disposal site.

According to Russia's emergency ministry, there were not any immediate deaths.
Explosions at ammunition sites have been an ongoing problem for the Russian military.
In May 6 soldiers were killed in a similar accident.
