Second suspect arrested for fatal Tigerland shooting
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A second suspect has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting in the Tigerland area.
Dedrick Brown, 24, of Baker was arrested at his home on Thursday, Aug. 2. He is believed to be connected with the July 31 shooting of Philip Boudreaux, 18.
The first suspect arrested in connection with the shooting is George Triplett, 22, of Baton Rouge. He was also arrested on Thursday, Aug. 2. Both were originally booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for Attempted First-Degree Murder. However, Boudreaux died on Friday, Aug. 3 at a local hospital as a result of the shooting. Charges against Brown and Triplett have been upgraded to First-Degree Murder.
Officials believe Brown and Triplett knew the victim before the robbery occurred.
