
FRANKLIN, LA (KADN) — A 65-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman repeatedly during a disagreement.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident occurred on Tuesday, March 12 at roughly 10:00 p.m. Deputies were called to a home in the Franklin-area in reference to a disturbance.
Officials say the suspect, James Washington, allegedly stabbed a 52-year-old woman multiple times during an argument. We’re told the victim managed to escape during the attack and fled to a friend’s home, where she called 911.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was placed into stable, but guarded condition.
Washington was located at his home and was arrested for Attempted Second-Degree Murder. He was booked into St. Mary Parish Jail on a bond of $150,000.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
