Shreveport man hospitalized after drive-by shooting

 A local man is recovering from minor injuries following a drive-by shooting overnight in Shreveport.

At 11:35 p.m., Shreveport Police Officers responded to a local hospital to reports of a man who had arrived in the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his hip.

 Officers were able to speak with the victim, Laterrance Johnson, 29, of Shreveport, who told authorities he was walking near the area of Hearne Avenue at Murphy Street, when a maroon colored Chevrolet Malibu approached him and slowed down. Johnson claims the driver fired several shots at him before speeding away. Johnson was taken by private vehicle to the hospital.
