SMPSO arrest casino worker who exposed himself at work, 3 on drug charges, 1 for trespassing
ST. MARY PARISH (KADN) — The St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert responded to 44 complaints since Wednesday, and have reported the following arrests:
Brent Burgess, 46, 30365 Denoux Road, Donaldsonville, LA was arrested on February 26, 2014 at 4:34 pm for criminal trespass.
A deputy investigating a complaint of trespassing on private property in Belle Isle requested that Burgess come to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in reference to the case. While speaking with Burgess, he acknowledged that he was trespassing on the property. Burgess was released on a summons to appear in court on May 22, 2014.
Ryan Dixon, 25, 212 Seventh Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 26, 2014 at 7:19 pm on a warrant for obscenity.
Dixon turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on a parole violation sanction. During booking, it was learned that Dixon held an active warrant for his arrest.
The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of a subject exposing himself at a local casino in August of 2013. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Dixon, who was an employee at the casino at the time, exposed himself in the presence of other female employees. No bond is set. Gilbert Howard, 44, 815 Youngs Road, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 27, 2014 at 2:24 am for possession of Legend Drug without a prescription and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal damage to property.
A deputy responded to a request to remove a subject from a business on Highway 182 in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Howard. The deputy received consent to search Howard’s vehicle and located prescription pills that were not prescribed to Howard. Also, the deputy learned of the warrant for Howard’s arrest. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
David Burrell, Jr., 29, 121 St. Joseph Lane Lot #1, St. Joseph, LA was arrested on February 26, 2014 at 3:09 pm for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of Schedule I (MDMA).
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at the address listed above. During the course of the investigation, detectives located 6 MDMA (ecstasy) pills and several packages of marijuana. Burrell was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Robert Parker, Jr., 33, 1720 Flory Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on February 26, 2014 at 4:27 pm for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, obstruction of justice, and on a warrant for parole violation.
While travelling on Highway 90 in the Berwick area, narcotics detectives observed a vehicle with a shattered windshield. Detectives also observed Parker who was seated in the rear of the vehicle. Detectives knew that Parker held an active warrant and conducted a traffic stop.
When detectives made contact with Parker, he was seen reaching around in the vehicle near him. A detective advised Parker to stop several times. However, Parker continued searching the rear compartment of the vehicle and in his pockets. A detective then saw Parker pull out a large bag of cocaine and throw the bag into the front seat area of the vehicle.
Parker was taken into custody. The bag of cocaine was recovered. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located an additional bag containing crack cocaine. Narcotics detectives estimate the total street value of the drugs to be $1,800. Parker was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
