St. Landry Parish Sheriff investigating possible shallow grave

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz tells Fox15 News Lafayette two possible gravesites have been ruled out in this case. Right now, investigators are looking at a possible third gravesite.

Detectives got a tip from a farmer who said he'd discovered three dirt mounds in a wooded area. St. Landry Parish investigators organized a team of investigators to look into the findings.

Investigators tell us they'll have completed investigating the third potential gravesite within an hour. Our news crew is still in route to the location, and we're in constant contact with St. Landry Parish investigators. We'll continue to update.


St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz tells Fox 15 News Lafayette, his office is at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Swords, LA, searching a possible shallow grave. The site is not far from where Mickey Shunick's alleged kidnapper lived before being taken to jail. We have a crew on the way. No further updates at this point.
