Law enforcement agencies have extra patrol on the road throughout the weekend

With the Independence Day holiday falling on a Friday this year, it means a long weekend for us.  Police say long weekends means heavy traffic is likely, so they are urging everyone driving to be prepared, and have a plan.

"We're going to have a lot of traffic on the interstate systems, a lot of traffic on our state highway systems.  We want to look out for aggressive drivers, we want to look out for impaired drivers," says Master Trooper Brooks David, State Police Troop I.

State Police along with local law enforcement agencies have joined the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign, which will have officers working overtime patrols throughout the entire weekend.
