HOLDEN, LA — Three people spent the night on a sandbar in Holden after they were stranded during a tubing trip.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that its agency was notified on Thursday, July 4 at roughly 11:00 p.m. regarding the two missing men and woman. The trio were part of a larger group that went tubing earlier during the day.
The group called for help after they waited for several hours and the three failed to show up.
Deputies began searching the area. They located the group shortly after 7:00 a.m. the next morning on a sandbar close to the Courtney Bridge. They did not provide any information regarding why the three were stranded.
Officials say all three were in good healthy and were treated on the scene by medical personnel.
