19,000 already sold and still growing

Lafayette, LA (KADN) — The pressure's on for your Ragin Cajuns.  The guys face off against East Carolina in a little more than a week and tickets are flying.  Last year was the first time in forty-one years that UL played in a post season bowl game.  Now they head down to New Orleans for the second year in a row, and it's going to be a big one.  Last year 18,000 tickets were sold in Lafayette.  This year the number is 19,000 and still growing.

"When we talk about the Ragin Cajun side of the field, people who were at the bowl game last year, it was amazing to see our side compared to San Diego State and I think that's important for the national spotlight that you receive when you play in a bowl game.  Showing other teams how well you travel and other bowls how well you travel," says Matt, UL ticket manager.

The ticket office at the Cajundome is open daily from 10:00 am till 6:00 pm and will also be open this Saturday.  The deadline to purchase tickets there is this coming Monday at 6:00 pm.
