Out of Iberia Parish

Lafayette, LA (KADN) — Detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office have issued a warrant for the arrest of twenty-one year old Akeam Daniels.  Daniels is being charged with Aggravated Second Degree Battery, Illegal Discharge of a Weapon, and Simple Criminal Damage to Property over $500.00 after he shot his eight year old brother.  The young male victim has since been transported to a hospital in Baton Rouge to receive treatment for his injuries.  Witnesses are stating that the shooting was accidental; however, detectives are conducting a criminal investigation at this time.
