Two men have been arrested after going to a post office in Breaux Bridge and picking up a package containing over 28 ounces of MDMA, otherwise known as "Molly".

On October 4 the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit received information from U.S. Customs and Border Protection regarding a package of illegal narcotics that was intercepted when it arrived in the United States from China.

The shipment contained approximately 800 grams (roughly 1.75 pounds) of MDMA and was being shipped to a Breaux Bridge address.

On October 7, Jermia Batiste, 23, of Lafayette, and Tony Benoit, 21, of Breaux Bridge went to the Breaux Bridge Post Office to retrieve the package. They were arrested immediately after leaving the building with the package.

Both Batiste and Benoit, were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center and charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Over 400 Grams of M.D.M.A.

Their bond was set at $500,000.
