CALCASIEU PARISH, LA — Two men accused of robbing a homeowner at gunpoint have been arrested.
On April 3, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to an armed robbery at a home on Gelpi Drive in Lake Charles.
Deputies spoke with the victim, who said two men, later identfied as Jacobie D. Lede, 17, and Dorian D. Malbreaux, 20, came to his front door with a a handgun, demanded money. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, Lede and Malbreaux fled on foot.
The Sheriff’s Office conducted an extensive search of the area but was unable to locate Lede or Malbreaux.
On April 5, detectives located and arrested Lede without incident; on April 6, CPSO deputies located and arrested Malbreaux without incident.
Lede and Malbreaux were both charged with Armed Robbery and Armed Robbery With a Firearm. Lede is also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
