UL football team and coach Hud visit patients at Lafayette General before leaving for the New Orleans Bowl
Third consecutive year players have visited patients before heading to the New Orleans Bowl
LAFAYETTE, LA (KADN) — The UL football team and coach Mark Hudspeth, en route to their third consecutive New Orleans Bowl, continued their bowl tradition today visiting Lafayette General Medical Center before leaving for New Orleans. Team members were able to visit patients in all parts of the hospital.
"We just want to give back to this community that has supported us so outstanding this year. We've had such great crowds, great fan support and we just want to give back to the community. Our kids have been real excited about this," says Coach Mark Hudspeth, head football coach at UL.
Coach Hud also says he is extremely excited for this team, university, city and community to go down to New Orleans and represent a great group of fans. The team will head down to New Orleans tomorrow.
