For the fourth consecutive year UL has been named the most affordable four-year public university in Louisiana.  In addition to leading Louisiana as the university with the lowest average net price to attend, it is among the top ten percent of most affordable four-year public universities in the US.

"We know Louisiana, it has a high poverty rate which means we have a lot of families that may not have the means to send their children to college.  So by us being able to keep it affordable we're keeping higher education within reach.  That's huge as far as us advancing our state," says DeWayne Bowie, Vice President for Enrollment Management at UL.

UL's annual net price to attend way $5, 911, with eighty-six percent of it's students receiving grant aid.  The national average net price to attend a four-year public university was $11, 582.  UL has been able to stay affordable while improving retention and graduation rates.
