UL Political Science Department head gives feedback on debate

Wednesday, October 17, 2012 - 6:12pm

If you were too busy watching Cajun football last night, the Presidential debate took center stage in most homes across the United States as President Obama and Governor Romney went head to head on issues thought up by undecided voters.

With different opinions flying every which way this morning, we went straight to the head of UL's political science department to get his feedback on how the debate went last night and he started with the President's performance

He exceeded expectations according to about 75% of the people who watched the debate so he did what he needed to do he stopped the bleeding uh whether he delivered a knockout punch or something like that i don't think so.

Mitt did about the same and peoples expectations of him were pretty high already so he had a higher bar to get over but people thought he did well.

Dr. Cross went on to say that the next debate will be a great payoff for those that have been watching because now both candidates are fully engaged and comfortable.

Again that third and final debate between the two candidates will be next Monday October 22nd at 9:00 PM
