One year later, no new information
LAFAYETTE, LA (KADN) — "Everyday that goes by we think about her. Her name is brought up in the house like where is she, is she okay. Lord please bring her back home, you know, send her back home to us," says Keiosha's Aunt Lena Lewis.
A year later and no new information on the disappearance of Keiosha Felix, leaving her family members left with nothing but unanswered questions. There haven't been any new leads, but investigators say they've learned a lot over the past year.
"Eliminating some possiblities in this investigation has been huge for us. It's paths we don't have to walk down again," says Captain Kip Judice, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office.
The biggest lead investigators have to go on is an unidentified male who was captured on surveillance video at a Lafayette AT&T store. We're told the man bought a sim card that was later used to unlock Keiosha's passcode. He is not a suspect, but investigators think he might know something.
"I do think she's out there. I do think the possibility of her coming home is large. Does it happen today or next year, I don't know," says Captain Judice.
Something her family hopes will happen soon.
"It's very hard, you know, just not knowing anything. That's the hardest part of it all," says Keiosha's Aunt Lena.
