Around The World(FOX 44) USA- Colorado theater shooting suspect James Holmes was back in court today as his lawyers tried to delay a public hearing of evidence gathered against him.
The 24 year old's lawyers say they need more time to go through almost 20,000 documents.
The prosecution agreed that they could use more time as well.
The scheduled preliminary hearing was set for November thirteenth, but the defense hopes it will not happen until after the new year.
Another hearing will determine whether or not the judge will allow this to happen.
A media attorney also asked that more court records be made public.
Both the defense and the prosecution argued against this.
The judge says he will most likely make a ruling on Monday.
Holmes is charged with killing twelve people and wounding 58 others in a mass shooting on July twentieth at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado.
Also in Colorado, police are still searching for a missing 10 year old girl.
Authorities discovered a body Wednesday night near the area where Jessica Ridgeway was last seen but they made no additional comments about the body during a news conference this morning and said they will continue searching today.
Jessica's mother says she last saw her daughter when she left for school on Friday.
Hundreds of volunteers are helping look for the little girl.
