Tonight, the Vatican weighed in on a papyrus fragment that a Harvard professor says is the first discovered record that Jesus may have had a wife. The Vatican claims that the papyrus fragment is a fake, and it's a "clumsy" fake at that.
The papyrus includes the words, "Jesus said to them, 'my wife.'"
The professor said the fragment was from the 4th century. He stressed that the fragment didn't prove that Jesus was married, rather, it proves that early Christians discussed that possibility.
